YES YES IT'S IN~!!!

Yup our bonus is in. Alhamdulillah. But i seriously don't plan on spending it though. Planning to just save them all. Gone are the days of carefree days where i don't think twice about spending 3/4 of my bonus and saving just a paltry sum.

Firstly, like what our daddies and mommies always say - Never spend all your pay and bonus. Always set aside for rainy days. And always stash emergency money at home. You never know what breaks down next. Hehehe..

Secondly, i've to save up for our holiday hopefully later this year. Destination: New Zealand!!! Yippeee~!!! I like~!!!  We really have a soft spot for NZ. Such a lovely place. Absolutely love their beautiful mountains, gorgeous scenery, friendly people.

Finally, i think we are finally ready for our big project. It will involve thorough planning, proper execution and blessings from Him and our loved ones :)

The Long Weekend

I have been looking forward to this long weekend. Reason: I wanted to re-energize myself and bond with my loved ones.

Verdict? Had a great time hanging out with the cousins, all my Maks and Bapaks and Papi. But at a heavy price though. Whole family's so super duper tired now. Slept practically the whole day once we came back. Told our Bibik not to cook dinner and just rest. All 4 of us are practically like zombies. Hope we will be refreshed by tomorrow though..

So we had our Annual Family Gathering yesterday. This year we decided to go all out and stay overnight at the Aloha Chalet instead of the usual BBQ at Parc Oasis. Only the older cousins decided not to stay. And my own parents. Dad couldn't bear to miss his weekly tennis session with his mates.

It was initially raining and we only started BBQing the food close to 8pm. Quite cool though. We put up a canvas over our pit. So the decor was ala satay club. Nice.

The 3 musketeers had a blast running and jumping around. It isn't everyday they get to play in a huge compound. It actually reminded me of  my arwah Nenek's place at Duchess Road. Big house with big garden. And the great swing. I recall playing "masak-masak" and "police and thief" with my cousins over Dad's side. With mango , rambutan and lime trees. Each year the whole family will have a yearly gathering and photography sessions. Very happening. The house has since been sold off and it has been replaced by a huge bungalow house - complete with an indoor pool.  Sure miss it man. Bet Hilman will enjoy the very spacious compound if it's still around.

So anyway, back to the gathering yesterday... The youngsters decided to play bowling at 2+am. Hahaha... All the places we went to were either close or no longer in operation. So in the end we just hang out at East Coast Park instead. Although me and Meike ended up sleeping while the rest were chatting. Sorry guys, buay tahan already~~

Taken quite a no of pictures but i am too tired to upload them. Shall wait for Meike to upload hers first. Haha.. Seriously, i'm gonna be busy planning for Hilman's 3rd birthday party. Still deciding whether to have it at home or outdoors. And our short romantic getaway which we plan to coincide with our 4th wedding anniversary.

Next up will be Meike's house moving and her wedding. Can't believe this little girl has grown up and ready to move on to the next chapter of her life...

So anyway, Have a good week ahead.

In my last post, I mentioned I was down with fever and flu. Well, I have since passed the bug to my poor baby. Err, the younger and not the older one.

It started with an eye infection. His eyes became reddish and we took him to our Family GP at Banyan Clinic. Dr Zuremy was on a week's leave and Hilman was attended to by Dr Norehan instead. She warned us that the eyes were just symptoms of a horrible infection and to be prepared for the same bug to hit Hilman. True enough, last Wednesday, my precious darling was down with cough and flu and by evening, he was down with fever as well. I was naturally worried. And for the whole night, I was contemplating whether to take UL to take care of my son. I decided to go ahead to the office and leave him in the hands of his Bibik. I was thinking it is only the 1st quarter of 2008 and Hilman is also prone to terrible flu and wheezing and asthma attacks. Hence that would be more critical for me to be around.

I felt like shit the whole day. Guilty for not performing my duties as his mom. It hurts but I hope when he grows up, he will understand.

So on the flipside, our variable bonus has just been announced. Phew! At least all employees will be getting it end of this month. And i think in April or July, those well-deserved employees will be getting their Performance Bonus (another 0.7 to 2.2 months). I don't dare to hope too much. Just pray I am not given a D banding. That will be totally disappointing.

Oh well, enough about work. I'm gonna enjoy my long weekend although my baby (the bigger one, this time) is on night shift tonight. Bummer.

Happy Easter Holidays peeps~~~

Yippeeee!!! It's been a super exciting week. We've got our spanking new MacBook and we've got our Mio TV. Coolness.

Been loving the movies on Mio TV. Being movie buffs, it is practically tailored for people like us. And of cos we're so loving the MacBook. Esp the hubby. He has been wanting to get lappies for sometime now.

On the downside, I am running a fever and migraine. The latter's been around for the past wk. Not sure whether it has been triggered by my uveitis or whether it is just my hormones.

And i got so pissed with a certain American bank. We just received our credit card statement. And we realized that we have been billed twice by a certain Indonesian restaurant in town. The level of customer service they have is purely crap with a capital C!!! And this coming from their Platinum Services. Sheesh!

Just felt like blogging. Now that I am home and I cant sleep. Actually went to the office earlier but was sent home since we have got enough manpower. And to think that i actually rushed down from the doctor... Oh well, I do need the rest. It's a blessing in disguise i supposed. Since next weekend is our Annual Family Gathering. It'd be a bummer if i am ill then. Let's hope no one will be sick, weather will be great and yes, the food that we have ordered turn out alright as well.

It's Your Love... Just does something to me..
I can't get enough. And if you wonder about the spell I'm under..
It's your love..

Baby, exactly 6 years ago, we met and it was on that day itself that you swept me off my feet. As cliche as it may sound, you had me at hello.. Yes you did. And we have never looked back since.

Getting married to you and having our child together was the best thing that happened to me. I am very very thankful to have such a loving , responsible and handsome man who can accept me just the way I am.

You aren't just my husband. You are my rock. My best friend and my soulmate. I can't imagine living my life without you. Cos you know we complete and complement each other.

True, we don't celebrate Valentine's Day like most other couples. But never once you forget the day that we met.

Still recall vividly how you surprised me with flowers and a lovely dinner in town the year after we met. Never told you before.. I was damn impressed.

Thank you for sending and fetching me to and from work. Thank you for waiting for me till i end my course or work. Although you just came back from your night shift. Thank you for not scolding or yelling at me when i lost not 1 but 2 rings. Thank you for driving me to anywhere I want just to get the food that i crave. Thank you for cleaning up the mess each time i throw up. Thank you for never raising your voice at me although I may not be the nicest person to be around with sometimes. Thank you for making me special. Thank you for being so romantic. It takes a lot of guts for a guy to give his lady flowers in front of her parents, cousins, friends. But you did it.

Needless to say, there are so many reasons for me to love you. And no reason for me to stop loving you. Here's to many many many more years to come... Insya Allah..
