MELAYU BOLEH!!!

Yeah!! Go Hady!!! WooHoooo~!!! The best man had indeed won the competition. My guess is he may not have won it by a landslide like Taufik did last yr. But heck, who cares?!

Eat yr words, Ja!!! So pissed yesterday when she sounded so affirmative on Jonathan clinching the title. Not just cos I favor Hady. But as a judge, HELLO~!!! What kinda stupid comment is that?? And of all the judges, she was the most lame throughout the whole season. Doubt anyone could comprehend half the bullsh*t she has came out with half the time.

Well to be fair to Jon, he deserved to be given some credits as well. He gave Hady the most competition. And anytime, he is better than Sly.

Congrats Hady!!! And Taufik Batisah too.. His performance rocks too ;p

Baby Shiloh or

Baby Suri??

Mirror mirror on the wall, whose baby's the cutest of them all? Hehe.. take yr pick, peeps! Some are still doubting whether Baby Suri is really TomKat's. My personal opinion? Think she does have Kat's eyes. Definitely not like Lucy Liu's lah.

Anyway, I feel both are beautiful babies. Probably 20 yrs from now, they may even be celebs in their own rights. Maybe even bigger than their parents.

BUT... they cant beat MY Baby Hilman. Violent objections, anybody??

Cheers @ 1:15 PM

Does this guy look more like a model or a doctor to you? He ain't just a doctor, hokay? This is Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor - the 1st ever Malay to be chosen to go check out the cool aerospace. Insya Allah, they will be leaving 2nd Sept 07. Cool, huh?

I am not a big fan of Malaysia. But really, kudos to them for having the guts to show the world that MALAYSIA BOLEH!! After all the corny jokes and all.. this would silent the critics eh?

Congrats to both Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor and Dr Faiz Khaleed for bringing in pride to our Malay community!

Btw gals, both men have agreed not to get hitched before 2008 so dont bother! Hehehe..

HUNKFEST~!!!

Caught my wkly dose of Hikmah earlier. And barely minutes after it ended, I already rec'd smses on how dumb Ana is, how she shld go for Arman etc etc.

Hehe tink now Gunawan seems to be the hot favorite among us women these days. Err.. Ari who again, people?? Haha..

Don't we all just wish for our hubby to be like that? Reality check.. Hello~!!! That's just a fictional character in yet another Indon Sinetron. No men are perfect. And we shld love them for who they are.. with their imperfections and all. Just like we expect the same of them. We are no Ana (or a hot babe like Tamara B) either. Firstly, I can't imagine any woman so naive and patient (read: stupid or dumb) as her character. Tink tt's why the men love women like us! We are smart and challenging! Right, baby?

Thank God for dramas like Hikmah. Or I dont think i'd bother watching Suria at all. I mean, Cinta Q?? Haha.. haha.. haha

Oklah gotta sleep. My 2 babies are sound asleep. Mama better join in and get some Zzzsss as well. Tmr having PT with Nick.. and facial after tt .. Sigh..

Dakota Fanning?? Hehe..

Cheers @ 11:39 PM

Check tis out!!!

It's a riot!! Enjoy!!

Wahh! Anne Hathaway huh?? I wish!! Then maybe I can audition for her role if there is a sequel to The Devil Wears Prada. And I can get to wear those gorgeous clothes. Oh wait! Think she is a size 4 ryte? Haha.. Dream on then.

And if I look like Katie Holmes, then Hubs must look like Tom Cruise. And if we have a gal, our baby must be as beautiful as Suri. Very the pan Asian. I loike~!!!

But Hilman is very handsome also. What happens if our kids are way better lookin than their folks?! Oh no!! Here I go again.. getting so carried away. Hehe..

Whoa! Juz caught a glimpse of Axl Rose on MTV's Video Awards. He looks so haggard and old! So different from his glorious days back then. How I loved his voice back then.. Heck I still enjoy their songs up till now. I mean, November Rain!! Don't Cry.. Sweet Child O'Mine.. These are songs I grew up with! (This is wat happens when you are the only gal and yr bros listen to such bands. Not that I am complaining though.)

Darn! Cant seem to find a clear pic of Hubby in our new pc. Nevermind. Shall wait till he transfers the files over from the old hard drive. Anyway, I decided to try Meike's face next. Hehe *evil grinz*

Sigh Rockstar Supernova finally came to an end. Not convinced they have made the right choice in choosing Lukas to be their frontman. No offence to Lukas' fans out there. But i feel his kinda music is more towards the likes of Linkin Park etc. Supernova is more ol' skool.

Dilana shld have been given the heav-o nong nong ago. Duh~!!! She is far too old for them. Not to mention tt woman's got attitude!!!

Magni and Toby were my top 2 choices. Magni has been consistent in his
performances. And he plays a mean guitar. Although I was hoping and hoping Toby wld be champ. I mean, his original Throw It All Away was ... Awesome?? Fabulous?? Power to the max!!! I feel tt he has more to contribute to Supernova. Oh well, read from a website tt he has called his old band to fly down to LA where he will be recording his single. Can't wait.. I think that dude's gonna do well. Correction. I think both dudes are gonna do well. Rock never die \m/ (Spoken like a true minah.. kiak kiak)

Anyway, wat's over is over. Like what Toby Rand would say - "EVS"!!! ;p

Hmm with the Rockstar Supernova all wrapped up, guess now I can pay more attn to the SG Idol. Darn, why cant our contestants be more exciting?? Yeah yeah, so Hady Mirza and tt Jon fella can sing. But performance-wise, they have yet to prove themselves. Hady is the stronger of the two. But he can sometimes look clumsy on stage. Cant really figure why I feel that way. Maybe he hasn't got the grooves like Taufik? Remember when he sang Justin Timberlake's Senorita. Uncool.

The judges feel that Jon has got that X factor yada yada able to connect with the audiences blah blah. I dunch think so?

Maybe my standards are too high? Hehe.. Ya lah after being hooked on the recent Supernova. And sometimes catching that Mentor program on TV3. Our local Idol kinda pales in comparison.

But at least, I am thankful that Joaquim and Paul got booted out. Goodness, they are ... *words fail me*. Wonder how much those teeny boppers (or rather their parents) had spent on the votes they placed for those 2.

Hubs says that Hady should try singing rock songs. His voice is more suitable for classy rock songs than R&B. I personally think it isn't the voice. Hady's voice is quite versatile. He just needs to improve on his moves.

Hmm let's see how he fares in the Finals. Think this time the results will be made known the following day ryte? Wonder what is the reason behind that. Hmm...

Whoever who says parenthood is a breeze must be nuts! I am at the moment a very worried Mummy. Undeniably, our precious Hilman is going thru that Terrible Two's syndrome. At home, our coffee table has been moved to Papa's study room. All the dining chairs have been shifted around the hall. No point getting those childproof locks. Cos he is strong enuff to pull them off. We would love to make our home fully safe so we would not have to say that dreadful "No" everytime. But no can do. It is not that we want to manjakan him so much that he can do anything under the sun. But if we keep doing that, sooner or later, it won't have any effect on him.

What worries me most is his social behavior. He's alright with adults. Friendly with them , in fact. It's just when he is around kids his own age. Each time he sees other toddlers in supermarkets or malls, he would run screaming (or screeching) and either tries to hug them or touch them. But most of the times, the other kids would be scared and go running behind their parents. The more petite ones would fall down when Hil touches them.

I know in my heart that my baby does not intend to instill fear in those other kids.

Just yesterday, we brought him to the airport. I knew it was a good idea cos it is very spacious. And Hil loves running ard.

But once we were at the Viewing Gallery, when he saw the other kids, it happened again. He saw this petite Chinese toddler with her Mummy looking at the aeroplane. And before both me and Bibik could stop him, he already ran screaming towards her.

Another fellow parent with his son quickly scooped up his son and walked away. He did mentioned something to the son. About them better playing off playing elsewhere - something to that effect. Yes, I was a bit embarassed. But can't that guy be more subtle? His reaction really irked and upsetted me.

I mean, how would he like it if I did that should the situation be reversed?? Also, from a parent to another, surely he knows we want the best for our kids. Moreover, I believe his son is over 2 years. Or even 3. Cos I heard the son talking in short complete sentences.

He must have thought Hil was his son's age. Cos both are of the same height. And I was a silly Mummy who can't discipline her son. All I could do was to tell my son - No, Hilman. You mustn't do that. He must have thought that was lame. What - he wants me to beat up my kid? Duh~ I do not believe in corporal punishment. Jerk. My son is just a 16 mths old who can speak 6 - 8 words max.

More importantly, I think reactions like that may affect Hilman's confidence. It isn't as if he is at the age where we can rationalise with him. Reason out with him.

Well heck with that fella. Anyway, Baby Hil, Mama knows you mean well. Mama and Papa will help to guide you okies, darling?

It is time for us to leave now. Or we'll be late again. JB, here we come!!

Well what can i say.. My darling wife truly loves me.. hehe.. Love u much too baby.
Anyway she really outdid me n herself this time. i just needed to seat back and watch the arrangements unfold. Well the most i had to do was to make sure i didn't spoil the plans, by being timely i.e. waking up on time, not sitting too long on my throne(in the bathroom). Cos i am quite famous for being bad with timekeeping.. Just ask her!
And so she had our whole weekend planned. So it includes a birthday eve celebration.. right.. Wow!
We started off with having breakfast on Sat morning at the well reviewed Mad Jack Cafe. We brought our boy Hilman along to lessen our guilt for leaving him at her parents for the night. She had fish 'n' chips, mine was grilled fish with some lemon sauce and with some smoothies to clear down our throats. Quite scrumptious.
Then we headed off to Woodlands to pick up Gift#1. She ordered some cup cakes especially for me. Pretty they are.. pretty enough to put on a wedding hantaran in fact.

We then got home to clean up and change, cos our next destination is the mystery location.. oooo.. i could never guessed. We had to leave by 1pm, and in the meanwhile i received, Gift#2- our fav Armani Mania perfume, in 100 ml, hope it'll last me for a year at least. I first got that for our wedding gift exchanges(hantaran), we both liked it, cos it jus complements my manliness.. hahaha.. macam real..
So we left at 1.15pm( good enough la..), waved goodbyes to our boy, and hit the road. Well i still don't know where we're headed, she gave me directions and all.. the suspense.. As we neared and she pointed it, i realised its a nice hotel, but still i didn't know it was Ritz Carlton.. until we reached. Didn't even know it has always been there.
After checking in, we promptly got our room, on the 23rd floor and around this time i realised this is a damn posh hotel! (i really don't know about these things guys, forgive me) But it was upon stepping into the room that i truly appreciated this Gift#3. With floor to ceiling windows overlooking the city skyline, and the gorgeous bathroom with the tub which overlooks the same great view through this hexagon shaped glass window..Its damn nice i tell you. We'd be happy enough not needing to step out of the room.

But of course we needed to go out for dinner..
Our first choice Straits Kitchen was fully booked, we settled on Cafe Vienna. ok lah..
Dinner ended about 8, and after a brief shopping, she said its a waste to spend time out rather than in the room.. hmm something's coming right. Well we came back.. and the room was adorned with petals.. Petals all over the bed, petals lined up to the bath.. more petals in the bathroom, and they had our tub ready. With foam and all, and aroma oils burning next to it.. Well.. jus gotta say.. GOODNIGHT guys.. :p

Woke up early the next morning, for our breakfast.. Quite a nice spread, but it was the service that impressed us most.
Sadly we had to ckeck out at 12, and i was thinking we might jus return.. one day.. haha.
We still had the whole day ahead of us, a zoo trip with our boy Hilman planned up.. I'll leave you all with the pics.

But lastly i jus need to say to my darling wife, Baby thanks So much for your efforts and enthusiasm, i was truly impressed to say the least, but on top of it all, it jus shows how much you love us and put so much for us.. And how u make me feel special.. Brightening our life with your warmth and positive nature..
Love you very much!!

Signing Off,
Fithri (The Hubby)

Think this mth (or shld I say last mth - think it's officially after 12MN already) is a mth full of celebrations. With 3 newborns, Mak Mah's and Meike's birthday and Daly's wedding. It's no wonder the 3 of us seem to be extra lethargic these days. Hilman was hardly himself at the beginning of the week. His naps were also longer than usual. But no worries, my boy only needs a couple of days to recharge himself. And he's back to his old energetic self. Haha.. (A lot of pics taken for all the events. But simply no energy to put them up)

And this wkend, we will be celebrating Papa's birthday. Like I mentioned in my earlier posting, I am planning a romantic and lovely celebration for my love. It is not just to make up for his crappy b'day celebration last yr. But i think my man deserves it. Not gonna elaborate in case he reads this posting. It will hopefully be a pleasant surprise for him.

Not gonna be bringing Baby Hil this time. It's Papa's and Mama's 1-day getaway. Though it saddens me big time. We have never been apart from him. Not for a single night. Well, at least I have never been apart from him. Hubs of course is quite used to it. When he works nights. But dun worry k baby! We aren't gonna make it into a bad habit. And we will make it up to you on Sunday. Then we can celebrate Bibik's birthday as well.

Speaking of Bibik, I just have to add on to this posting about her - Some may say I am crazy to trust my maid with my son at home alone while at work. Well, I ain't got a choice. And so far, alhamdulillah, she has been a good caretaker. Not just to Hilman but to us as well. How many maids out there can take care of your child, do household chores and cook? Well she is one perfect example of an all-rounder. Though like any other humans, she has her imperfections, I feel lucky to have her to help us. Those times she went back to see her daughter, me and Hubby had to struggle taking care of Hil throughout the whole period. And she has been doing it everyday. And at the same time, taking care of our laundry, household cleanliness and our meals. With all those taken care of, me and Hubs can simply focus on our Baby once we reach home. Are we lucky or what? A Wonderwoman she is. Thank you, Bibik..
