My Poor Baby!!!
In my previous post, I mentioned that Hilman has been extra cranky. Lately he has been demanding more attention from me. Well, we finally found out why. My poor baby has been unwell. Hasnt been able to breathe properly especially in the night or when he is lying down.
He has been having flu & running nose for the past 2 wks. But I had no idea he was feeling so ill. Not till the night after the CNY holidays. His fever started to come back first. As I was sponging him throughout the night, I realised he had difficulty sleeping. Kept changing his sleeping positions. And kept crying.
Brought him to the A&E at KKH at 6am and the doctor ran thru a series of tests. Found that Hilman's breathing rate was very fast. My poor baby was then given the immobiliser for 3 rounds i think.
Felt like slapping 1 particular nurse whom I felt was so rough towards him. Couldnt she be more emphatatic??! It is afterall his 1st time being given the immobiliser. And that could be a traumatising episode for him. Not to mention for us as well. And her being so rough didnt help out at all. URGH!!! Well, nevermind her. Anyway, he was discharged after being diagnosed with Bronchitis hours later.
Despite us monitoring his condition the whole day, the next night, his condition worsened. And again we brought him to KKH. Again he was given the immobiliser (this time a stronger one). The first time the doctor counted his heartbeat, it was 60/min. Which was much faster than the 1st time we brought him in. And she wanted him to be admitted rightaway.
Hubby didnt like the idea at all. And requested Hilman to be examined again after another half hr. Alhamdulillah, his heartbeat has slowed down this time. And he was discharged again.
It happens to be my off day today. So i got to monitor my baby myself. Hilman's condition seems to have improved a bit. Though his cough and running nose are still there. Praying the phlegm will clear up with the medication given.
I wish I can do more for him. At barely 2, he is only learning to speak. Hence we dont know how he feels. Sigh.. If i can just be sick for him, I would.
Thanks to those who have sent us SMSes praying for his speedy recovery. Really appreciate it :)

Ok I am officially so drained out that I am acting nuts. Been doing the cash closing the past wk. And Hilman's been very demanding the past wk too. When I am home, he wont let his Bibik prepare his milk or clean him up. Always wanting me to do them instead. Not that I mind actually. Dunno why exactly. But this wk, I am just so extra tired!!!
Know what I have been up to the past couple of nights?? Been checking out old songs. And I mean , really old. Talking abt music in the 80s. Somehow i am yearning to listen to the old likes of NKOTB, Milli Vanilli, Chicago and MALAY songs too!!! Yup yup. Malay songs from Slam, Iklim, Damasutra. Haha..
Right now I am listening to The Right Combination by Donnie Wahlberg & Seiko Matsuda. Haha.. this song really brings me back to the school days. Loved the song way back then. When NKOTB was THE boyband. Before bands like Take That, BSB, Boyzone all came about.
Makes me wanna be a girl again. A groupie. Screaming my heart out while queuing up for their autographs. Taking pictures of them. OMG this is beginning to be embarassing. I cant believe I just typed this. Knowing fully well my blog is a public domain. Haha.
Ok shall shut up for now. Happy Holidays, everbody :)

Ok so my weekend is like so crappy this wk. Had to work yesterday. And of cos today we had our bi-annual training over at HQ. Wah piang! Had to wake up at 7.30am hokay!! Luckily Mama was kind enuff to send me over to the MRT station. So i didnt have to take the bus. But still....
Anyway, after reading in the papers abt the famous and the most sought-after donuts at the moment. I tot i would check out the latest craze (or should i say fad) our fellow Singaporeans seem to be having.
Initially at one glance, the queue didnt seem long. Abt 5 persons in line. So i was thinkin, waddaheck, just get a couple and try for myself. What i tot would be a half hour queue (MAX) turned up to be a 1.5 hrs long wait. Wah liau!!! If not cos i was halfway thru and seeing the no of ppl standing behind me miraculously becoming longer and longer, i would have given up.
So i prevailed and waited patiently for the famous donuts. I bought a dozen donuts by the way. Since I have queued for that long, what the heck. Let me try all the flavors that they have. Alas, by the time it was my turn, all their cheese flavored ones have ran out. Bloody hell. Those are what I had wanted most (Dunkin Donuts do not have those flavors anymore also. Sigh...).
Anyhow, the verdict? They arent super fantastic. But i have to say they are softer than Dunkin Donuts'. I cant compare their taste to Krispy Kremes'. Cos the last time we had that was in Sydney. Haha.. But their flavors are definitely more appealing. Wasabi Cheese, Spicy Cheese, Kaya White Chocolate.. and the list goes on...
But is it worth the super long wait?? NOOOOOOO!!! My advice is to wait for the craze to taper down.
Anyway, to my cousins, if you are reading this, CONGRATS!!! Congrats on your good results. Next up would be yr As. So enjoy yourselves while you can. Hahaha!!
Let's hope the pit will be available for next Sun. So we can celebrate properly aiite.
Wish me luck for the rest of the wk peeps. It's my turn doing the cash closing this wk. Till then, don't expect any further updates :)

Isnt he cute?? No lah. He isnt having a donut. That's him having his breakfast before heading off to school :)

Pics taken at the National Stadium during the match with Malaysia. Although we had to wait for the rest for almost an hr, it was well worth it. Cos we won!!! Nopes.. we didnt bring Hilman along. Why? He is at this "parroting" stage. Didnt want him to pick up words kids his age shouldnt be hearing.

Okay, it's been sometime since i blogged. Cos i've been busy checking out others' blogs instead. Haha..
Naahhhh, been very busy in actual fact. With Hilman starting his playgroup at MMI. My baby's growing so fast man. Too fast!!
When he first started, he was still clingy to us in the class. Now he seems to front the rest esp during the Music & Movement segments. Check out his "butt moves". No wonder Bibik says the teachers love to smack his butt. Haha.. dun blame them.
What i love most is that he is slowly growing independent. My baby's learning to share, make friends. He's stopped being agressive towards other tots. Phew~!!!
Also we have been busy going for short getaways. 2 wks back, we went to Batam. Visited Bibik's hometown as well. A gd experience for Hilman over there. As he had his 1st experience taking the small sampan boat. Come to think abt it, it was my 1st time too. Haha!
And he really loved taking the beca (read: trishaw) and ojet (read: scooter or small bike). So much that he refused to come down.
And we had just came back from a short trip to KL last night. What can i say - the food was fab. So was the shopping. I am impressed at how much KL has grown. The One Utama and The Curve shopping ctrs are definitely comparable to our local ones. Worth our 20RM cab fare. KLCC too was great. We came to binge. And that we did, alright. Started off with having lunch at a great Thai restaurant at Berjaya Times Square. And had an even nicer dinner at TGI Friday's. Portion was so freaking big. And it was simply SEDAP!!! The chicken rice we had at KLCC was not bad too. Dinner on Sat was a late one though. Ordered thru room service. Why??
Cos of the 2nd leg of the finals btwn the Lions and Thailand!! We were so pissed that our supposedly 5* hotel does not offer sports channels. I called and smsed to friends and relatives to get them check the Net to see if there are eateries or bars televising the match. Not surprisingly, none cld find anything. I mean, why would they televise something which dun mean much to them?? We are simply at the wrong place at the wrong time. So anyway, off we went to the lobby lounge only to find it fully packed due to some corporate functions.
By that time, Hubby was pretty disappointed. Although he tried his best to conceal it (Thanks, baby). I pushed on and told him to try Melia Hotel (which was just opposite). And it's a miracle!!! They were showing the match LIVE!!! We were the 1st ones to arrive. And were shortly joined by a group of Ah Peks and a Malay family. They too prob had the same problem, i reckon. But whatever. The Lions WON!!! WooHoooooo~!!! (Btw, we catched both the Semi-Finals btwn SG and Malaysia and the 1st leg of the Finals at the Stadium. Another reason that kept me busy and too tired to blog. Haha!)
And Hilman made friends with a Swedish boy of his age. A very handsome lad. Complete with blue eyes and blonde locks. And yes!!! Hilman's taller than the young tyke. Dun mind me.. couldn't help being proud that my boy's taller than a European tot. Hehe.. Even his mom commented on that. Nice family. Though it was brief, we enjoyed meeting them. Hope their 19 hrs flight back home went well. Had tips from them on how to survive the super long flight. Sure need them boy..
So now we are back home in SG. And the only reason why i am able to post this is cos both my babies are sound asleep. Been so tired cos Bibik isn't around to help. And worse, she ain't coming back today!! Had a call from her that her passport will only be ready tomorrow afternoon. Yikes!! Luckily, my boss has agreed to let me go on leave tomorrow.
So Bibik, pls come back!! Hilman is already asking, "Where Bibik?? Bibik where??". Poor boy! And his Mama and Papa need you too. Sob sob..
PS: I am too tired to upload any pixs. Prob next time yah.
