Here are the highlights of the major events in 2006 moi & family had..



Who could forget our Sydney trip in March? Hilman's 1st overseas trip. So many memories.. so many lessons learnt. Right, hubby dearie? Especially towards the end of our trip. I still shudder recalling that particular event.






And Hilman's very 1st birthday. Gassppp!!! My baby's already turning 2 in less than 4 mths!! Didnt i like give birth to him like, 4 mths ago??




This is of course our 2nd Anniversary celebration at Bintan. Even though we did brought along Mama, Abah, Bibik & Hilman, we did managed to snitch some privacy time :)




In August, who could forget the 3-days fireworks display over at the Fullerton? They were so brilliant. No regrets having to park the car at The ICA Building and joining the crowds in the MRT. Superb~





And of cos shortly after that, Papa turned 28. We had that short getaway at the Ritz Carlton Millenia. Just the 2 of us, you know! Awww~!!! With that breathtaking view of the Marina skyline and the beautiful bathroom, and the bigger than your usual hotel deluxe rooms. I would say it is well worth every penny I spent :)
(By the way, their birthday cake was the bestest cake i ever had. It was very light and moist. We still cant figure out what flavor it was. It tasted fruity with a tinge of lychee taste. Heavenly~!!!)

Cant help making an additional comment on this pic. Isnt this cute?? With Khidhir slurping on his fried bee hoon. And Hilman & Abg Hasyir engaged in some serious conversation. Haha~!!! Like a typical scene you see in a coffeeshop. Of cos there arent any beanbags in coffeeshops hokay??


Above are some pics taken at our Raya Open Hse which I havent uploaded onto my blog. So guess this is a gd time to do so. Hehe.. It was a very tiring event for us having to entertain guests all day long. And Kak Elia almost gave up when all of our fried chicken finished. And the guests asked for more. Luckily Sheng Shiong is just downstairs. Hehe.. So hubs went to buy another 2kg. By the way our 7kg bone steak also finished liao. So did Mak Mak's spaghetti. Luckily we didnt stinge on the food. And decided to buy more than expected. Phew~!!!










And one of the best shows we watched this yr was of cos the PGL. Aside from that "pelat-ness" from the hunky Hang Tuah, the show was brilliant. I was especially stunned with AC Mizal's performance. Think so was hubby. Cos he really wanted the original Indon guy to play the character. But that guy really pulled it off. I came without much expectations fearing that I may be disappointed. After reading and watching such rave reviews everywhere. And after having such a difficult time getting the tickets. Plus the tixs arent that cheap, hokay??


And finally, there is MY birthday. A celebration that lasted for 3 days. Yippee~!!! Below are the pixs.. Finally i got ard to upload them. Haha..









So goodbye, 2006!!! Hello 2007!!! May this yr brings us all more happiness to come.. Insya Allah.

What can I say - time can really fly so fast! I mean, i tot i have just celebrated Mama's bday and suddenly it's that time of the yr again! It's 2007 already!!!

Somehow December always seems to end very fast to me. Maybe cos of my bday celebration, our bonus and all the public hols yah?

Yesterday was also our Hari Raya Haji. After hubby had his short nap after coming back from his Raya prayer, we headed down to Parc Oasis 1st. And we had a scrumptious brunch. Ooohh.. Mama cooked for us Nasi Kabuli with sambal prawns, beef with satay sauce (i think! whatever it is, it is delish!), grilled chicken. Yums yums!!!

And then we went ahead to Mak's place at Bkt Pnjg. Didnt get to see the lil tykes (Nabil, Haziq & Nadya) though. Apparently Abg Yazeed got so flat he decided to come at nyte instead. So we only gotta meet Kak Ana & Abg Imran. And of cos we had to have our fill of the wonderful Nasi Briyani. Yumsss~~~







And like what Hubs said, Hilman keeps getting presents for Hari Raya. Last Raya, Yai and Nyai got him a toy laptop. And yest, he got another toy from his Tok & Nyai. And yup, he's got Ang Pow too for Raya Haji! At this rate, his bank a/c balance is gonna be healthier than ours boy..

Over @ Mak Tiah's place, Mak Mah has prepared a yet another scrumptious spread of Raya dishes. After the tahlil for arwah Yai & Nyai, we helped ourselves to a buffet spread of Ayam Masak Lemak Cili Padi, Sambal Sotong Kering, Sayur Lodeh, Ayam Unggep, Sambal Goreng etc etc.

Kak Amal, Ang Auh and the 2 gals managed to sneak out to get birthday cakes and flowers for our January birthday babes & hunks. So after the feast, we had a mini celebration for Mama, Cik Mala, Mak Tiah, Ang Auh & lil Khidhir.

The highlight of our gathering was of cos the antics of the 3 musketeers. Especially during the cake-cutting session. Hilman wouldnt (or shld i say couldnt??) blow out the candles. So Abang Khidhir had to help him with that part. And Hilman somehow managed to scoop out a considerably big chunk of the cake before the cake was cut. And Abang Hasyir blew out the candles before we finished singing the birthday songs. Kiak kiak..







After that, everything happened very fast! I can only recall being sandwiched at the back of the car. Rushed home for a quick shower and change of clothes. And then we went on to rush to Esplanade to see the New Yr fireworks.

There were hiccups along the way. Hmm.. lemme try recall some of them. Jam along PIE, change of plans to see fireworks at Raffles Place instead of Marina Bay, missed an exit and had to detour etc.

But no worries, I hardly noticed the hiccups. Cos you see, I was the only gal in the car. And the other 4 guys were cracking so many jokes i kept laughing throughout the journey.





Despite all that, we were so lucky. Even with the stupid jams and the huge crowd, we STILL managed to see the fireworks~~~!!! Yeah!!!

The moment we turned into Parliament Road (i think), it was the New Year! And the fireworks just started! So we had quite a nice view from the car. And in the midst of all the chaos, everyone just stopped their cars to admire the splendid view. Some drivers were honking at one another. Some even stepped out of their cars.

So did our nyte end there? Of course not!!

We had to have our 1st meal in 2007 together too. Then our NY's celebration will be complete. Haha!

So off to Simpang Bedok we went for our 1st round of marvellous food for the yr 2007. Here are the pixs.. Enjoy!!!
