It's been quite a while since my last post. That's because I have been so wrapped up with work, family etc etc. Finally managed to pay a long overdue visit to Baby Ryan and his mummy after almost 3 mths last wkend. That's 1 handsome lad in the making i tell you. His constant smile can make us ladies so cair. But alas, I had totally forgotten to take any pictures. I can be quite a dumb ass sometimes.

After that, we met up with the 2 babes, Isadora and Ismira. Still as petite as ever. But it was endearing to see Isadora and Hilman walking together hand in hand. Mind you, that gal was terrified of my son each time they met before! Hehe... Anyway, it was so great meeting up with them. We MUST do it again soon okies??

A nice "romantic" stroll after dinner at Thai Express. Aren't they just so cute?? Hehe..

Earlier today, I took Hilman and Bibik to Mom's place with the intention of taking him for a swim. He's been saying "Eeeming" (read: swimming) throughout the whole week (complete with his hand actions). But it was raining the whole afternoon so too bad, kiddo. Next time, k baby?

Well anyway, I am in such a jubilant mood. My one month's PAID leave is starting on the 9th. That's just like a week away. Woohooo!!! And to top it off, I have also just received an email from HR that I can claim for an additional 5 days leave this year. Reason is because our company is giving an additional week of maternity leave in line with our pro-family friendly practices. And they are extending this benefit to those who have given birth within the last 2 years as well. It really pays to work in a pro-family organization huh? Plus the timing couldn't be better. Now I don't need to apply for leave for Hilman's 2nd birthday and of cos, our 3rd wedding anniversary. Yeahhh!!! It's time for celebrations once again.. Heheh ;)

PS: Hubby, this year's Anniversary no need to be so grand okies? No need for Coach bags, a night's stay at a posh hotel etc. Let's spend our moolahs in NYC instead. Over there, Coach is cheaper, y'know?? ;p

Am I a lousy mom or wat?? Just when my baby is recovering, he just had to catch another episode of Bronchititis. Can't really pinpoint what has actually triggered the 2nd one. But i know he fell ill after we were out the whole of last Thursday. Sigh..
Nevermind that we have to spend big bucks on all the A&E visits this month. But i really worry about his health. Maybe cos hubby's side has a history of asthma, I guess i shld be extra careful when it comes to Hilman.
That translates to... 1) No going out with Hilman till late night 2) No cold drinks 3) No fried food 4) Absolutely nothing healthy for him 5) Plenty of R & R for him
Last night we took him to the NUH A&E. He was again diagnosed with Bronchititis after yet another x-ray. Was told by the doctor not to worry too much. And that if he is taken to the doctor quickly, the illness can be treated easily. But cos of of our family's history of asthma, we will just need to be more careful. To look out for any wheezing symptoms etc.
It suddenly dawned on me that taking care of a child is no easy feat. Lots of patience and TLC are required to jaga the little one.
At such time I really wonder how my mom managed to bring up my 2 bros and me. Can just imagine the sacrifices she had gone through. Still remember each time when I get the athritis on either of my eyes, it was my Mom who faithfully woke up every 2 hours to put on the steroid droplets for me. Cos even at 20 i was too plain lazy to do it myself. Tsk tsk..
Well anyway, it's time for Hilman's ubat-taking time. Dunno how tt fella does it. No matter what tactic we try, he will find a way to spurt out the medicine. We have tried all kinds of tactics recommended by the kind doctors and nurses we have seen. But nopes, he is one exceptionally bright kid who can outwit us adults. Haha..
Well baby, do recover soon okies!!! Papa and Mama will try to jaga you better. And ensure you have sufficient rest. And if everything turns out perfectly, we can all have our well-deserved treat come next month! NY City.. here we come!!!
