Am I a lousy mom or wat?? Just when my baby is recovering, he just had to catch another episode of Bronchititis. Can't really pinpoint what has actually triggered the 2nd one. But i know he fell ill after we were out the whole of last Thursday. Sigh..
Nevermind that we have to spend big bucks on all the A&E visits this month. But i really worry about his health. Maybe cos hubby's side has a history of asthma, I guess i shld be extra careful when it comes to Hilman.
That translates to... 1) No going out with Hilman till late night 2) No cold drinks 3) No fried food 4) Absolutely nothing healthy for him 5) Plenty of R & R for him
Last night we took him to the NUH A&E. He was again diagnosed with Bronchititis after yet another x-ray. Was told by the doctor not to worry too much. And that if he is taken to the doctor quickly, the illness can be treated easily. But cos of of our family's history of asthma, we will just need to be more careful. To look out for any wheezing symptoms etc.
It suddenly dawned on me that taking care of a child is no easy feat. Lots of patience and TLC are required to jaga the little one.
At such time I really wonder how my mom managed to bring up my 2 bros and me. Can just imagine the sacrifices she had gone through. Still remember each time when I get the athritis on either of my eyes, it was my Mom who faithfully woke up every 2 hours to put on the steroid droplets for me. Cos even at 20 i was too plain lazy to do it myself. Tsk tsk..
Well anyway, it's time for Hilman's ubat-taking time. Dunno how tt fella does it. No matter what tactic we try, he will find a way to spurt out the medicine. We have tried all kinds of tactics recommended by the kind doctors and nurses we have seen. But nopes, he is one exceptionally bright kid who can outwit us adults. Haha..
Well baby, do recover soon okies!!! Papa and Mama will try to jaga you better. And ensure you have sufficient rest. And if everything turns out perfectly, we can all have our well-deserved treat come next month! NY City.. here we come!!!
